Feds Exploit “Threatened” Bird for Massive Land Grab


The Obama administration is under fire from critics, state governments, and lawmakers for yet another federal “overreach” and abuse of power after it unveiled plans for a massive land grab across five states under the guise of protecting the “lesser prairie chicken.” Analysts and opponents of the scheme say the controversial decision to declare the bird “threatened” could unleash major damage against property rights, oil exploration, energy, farming, ranching, jobs, development, industry, states’ rights, the U.S. Constitution, and more. Affected state officials and lawmakers, though, are already considering their options to fight back.

The Obama Fish and Wildlife Service ruling, announced late last week following a court ruling, adds to the escalating pattern of lawlessness in the federal government’s accelerating war on private property and state sovereignty. If growing efforts at the state and federal level to rein in the administration are unsuccessful, the decision, allegedly justified by the unconstitutional and much-abused “Endangered Species Act,” will go into effect on May 1. It affects about 40 million square acres — more than 62,500 square miles, or about 25 times the size of Delaware for perspective — across five states: Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Kansas. Much of the land is privately owned.
State officials, though, are attacking the scheme from all angles — particularly the administration’s latest abuse of the increasingly well-known “sue and settle” scam. Under the controversial tactic, employed primarily to defraud taxpayers and expand government power, federal agencies such as the EPA, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and countless other rogue outfits collude with radical special-interest groups.

 

In a essence, the fraud works like this: A group sues the agency in question to demand some particular power grab that both the agency and the group want to foist on America unilaterally; then the agency agrees to “settle” by adopting the desired scheme while paying massive sums of taxpayer funds to the group that sued to set up future scams. The EPA has become particularly adept at defrauding taxpayers and skirting the Constitution using the plot, yet Congress continues to allow it despite occasional expressions of outrage.

In response to the latest exploitation of the scam in the “threatened” lesser prairie chicken designation, where the Obama Interior Department “settled” with radical pseudo-environmentalists in a “sue and settle” case over the bird, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt filed his own lawsuit this month. In court filings, the top law-enforcement official for Oklahoma, one of the five affected states, explains that federal agencies are colluding with various special-interest outfits to bypass constitutional policymaking procedures — and the people.

“Increasingly, federal agencies are colluding with like-minded special interest groups by using ... 'friendly settlements' of lawsuits filed by the interest groups,” said Pruitt, the latest high-ranking official to go on offense against the lawless scheming. “These settlements, which often impose tougher regulations and shorter time lines than those imposed by Congress, are having a crippling effect on the U.S. economy. Furthermore, because these settlements are taking place without public input, attorneys general are unable to represent the respective interests of their states, businesses, and citizens.” The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has also highlighted the “sue and settle” scheme as something that must be reined in.

Acknowledging that the most recent massive power grab would be “unpopular” with governors in the five states — not to mention the public — Obama Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe claimed he was simply following the best supposed “science” available. He claimed, too, that the allegedly “threatened” type of grouse — one step below “endangered,” a status that would trigger even more radical federal interventions — had lost much of its habitat because of humans. The ongoing drought has also harmed the small, colorful bird, which apparently “fears” tall structures that may harbor predators. Indeed, even conservationists say the lack of rain and resulting effects on local vegetation have almost certainly been the most important factors driving the recent decline in numbers.

Incredibly, the administration tried to spin its latest power grabs as a move that somehow respected state jurisdiction and private property. “Our determination that it warrants listing as a threatened species with a special rule acknowledges the unprecedented partnership efforts and leadership of the five range states for management of the species,” Ashe said in a statement. “Working through the [Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies] range-wide conservation plan, the states remain in the driver’s seat for managing the species — more than has ever been done before — and participating landowners and developers are not impacted with additional regulatory requirements.”
Elected state and federal officials, however, took a different view than Obama’s unelected and unaccountable bureaucracies. Liberty-minded Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), for example, released a statement blasting the power grab. “Including the lesser prairie chicken on the endangered species list will diminish private land owners' control over their own property and threaten agriculture and energy jobs,” he explained. “Conservation does not have to come at the expense of property rights, growth, and opportunity,” Sen. John Cornyn, the other U.S. senator for Texas, also lashed out, saying he would “fight to reform this process so job creators and local officials have a say.”

Separately, U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) introduced a bill just last week aimed at reining in the abuse of the Endangered Species Act by returning some usurped federal powers to state and local authorities. “Local experts are our best resource when it comes to the complex relationship between a species and its habitat,” he explained. “They know the habitat like only a local can, and they know which actions are more likely to work and which may need adjusting. My bill ensures that the Fish and Wildlife Service is working with experts on the ground.” His legislation is dubbed the Endangered Species Improvement Act of 2014.

Texas Railroad Commissioner David Porter had some of the harshest remarks about the scheme thus far, calling it the latest example of Obama’s “war on fossil fuels.” Indeed, analysts cited in media reports say the ruling could cost energy producers hundreds of millions of dollars. “It appears the federal agency has been influenced heavily by the environmentalist agenda, which has very little to do with preservation of this species and more with the eradication of the oil and gas industry,” Porter said in a statement.

In Kansas, where Republican Governor Sam Brownback and state lawmakers are developing a reputation for standing up to unconstitutional federal power grabs, officials were outraged, too. “This is an overreach on the part of the federal government,” Brownback said in a statement after the administration’s controversial decision was announced. “We are looking at possible responses on this issue.” A spokesperson for the governor told Fox News that a lawsuit against the scheme was “certainly” possible, and Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said his office was assessing its legal options in the case. Some media accounts said Kansas was going to join other states in a broad lawsuit against the chickens’ “threatened” listing.

Oil and energy interests, which have already devoted massive efforts to preserving the chicken and its habitat under voluntary initiatives, are also hoping to restore sanity. “Adding another layer of regulation on the oil and gas industry in a region that is key to America's energy future and for which there is no clear environmental benefit runs counter to this administration's stated approach to energy and regulation,” a coalition of oil and gas industry groups was quoted as saying.

Senior state officials in energy, agriculture, and wildlife from New Mexico, meanwhile, added that the latest “misguided” federal decision will “without question decimate economic development and job creation in southeastern New Mexico.” Other state leaders from affected jurisdictions made similar statements, saying the ruling would result in dramatic damage to their economies. More than a few critics suspect that is, in fact, among the actual purposes of the scheme.

Even before deciding to exploit the Endangered Species Act to attack private property and expand its powers, the Obama administration had been plotting the creation of a “Lesser Prairie Chicken Preserve”  “National Monument” under the “Antiquities Act.” Both of those unconstitutional statutes have been routinely abused by Republican and Democrat administrations to put more and more land under federal control or eviscerate individual rights with severe federally imposed restrictions. In fact, Obama Interior Secretary Sally Jewell, currently waging an anti-science witch hunt against federal employees who question discredited United Nations global-warming theories, threatened that the president “will not hesitate” to grab more land unilaterally if Congress refuses to do it.
Of course, the federal government already claims to “own” about half of all land west of the Mississippi River — but that is apparently not enough. “Hungry for more, the Obama administration is poised to make the largest land grab in modern history, and to do so covertly,” observed an editorial in the free market-oriented Daily Bell by liberty-minded columnist Wendy McElroy the day before the formal announcement about the chicken was made public. “The land grab is being engineered in a manner that has become a signature of the Obama administration: quietly, autocratically and by sidestepping established restraints.”

As The New American has been documenting for decades, the war on private-property rights under any and all conceivable pretexts is monumental — and it has been accelerating at record pace under the Obama administration. It is also a global phenomenon, with the UN and various international outfits working around the world to place as much land as possible as quickly as possible off limits to citizens. On the bright side, though, as the war intensifies, Americans and their elected officials are slowly waking up and fighting back.

On November 5, 2009, Nidal Hasan fatally shot 14 and injured more than 30 at the same location. Despite administration officials labeling this an act of “workplace violence,” this was terrorism plain and simple. On September 13th of last year, Aaron Alexis entered the Washington Navy Yard and killed 12 more. Both ...Fort Hood & the Washington Navy Yard have armed guards. But what they don’t have is a policy allowing those on the premises the right to carry. And there is little doubt that there would have been far fewer fatalities had this been the case. So today we extend our prayers to the victims and their families of another despicable and senseless act. In their honor, Americans should demand that all those serving our nation have the right to protect themselves. P

NATO's barbaric assault on Serbia and Monica Lewinsky

Fifteen years ago on March 26, 1999, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) bombed a sovereign nation, Serbia, unilaterally intervening in a civi...l war without UN approval on a phony pretext of "humanitarian" intervention and also in an effort to distract American public attention from the Monica Lewinsky "frosted dress" scandal caused by the philandering US president. NATO violated its own "defensive" charter that required military recourse only when NATO-member nations were attacked which was not the case regarding Serbia. By bombing Serbia for 78 days, US President Bill Clinton violated the US's own War Powers Resolution of 1973 but despite the obvious infraction and even efforts by US Congressmen to hold him accountable, he was never punished for this obviously illegal action.

NATO warplanes (including, shamefully, German Tornado aircraft just as their Nazi predecessors during WWII) slaughtered hundreds if not thousands of innocent civilians during 78 days of illegal and incessant bombing - roughly as many died on all sides in the conflict before NATO entered the fray. NATO was so merciless in the mass slaughter that the organization continued bombing during Orthodox Christian Easter just as the Nazis did in 1941 demonstrating their savage and robotic nature. NATO warplanes fired tons of depleted but highly toxic uranium causing untold cancers including among NATO personnel stationed in Kosovo (e.g. eye cancers). NATO warplanes unleashed tens of thousands of internationally banned cluster bombs which continue to kill and maim children (in the form of unexploded ordinance) to this very day [1-2]. NATO warplanes bombed the Pancevo chemical complex which released thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals into the Danube river (Europe's longest waterway). Countless civilian targets such as homes, trains, market places, hospitals, power stations and schools were bombed as well.

To prevent the world from seeing proof of NATO's savagery, Serbia's only satellite link to the world was disconnected. The headquarters of the Radio and Television Serbia (RTS) were viciously bombed [3], slaughtering some dozen staff members and journalists who had assembled to interview (for Larry King "live" at CNN) a Serbian government official in what can only be described as the most vicious act of censorship in history. Even the Chinese embassy was deliberately bombed [4], murdering some three Chinese staff members and journalists, to punish Chinese for aiding the Serbs in getting the word out about NATO's true evil face.

The end result was the theft of Kosovo, Serbia's Jerusalem - the cradle of the Serbian Orthodox Christian Faith, from Serbia and the utter destruction of international law; replaced by the laws of the jungle: "might makes right." This orgy of illegal and barbaric violence against Serbia demonstrated to the world that terrorists can successfully alter the borders of sovereign nations "by force" if NATO supports them. Now, the US has established Camp Bondsteel, the largest US base outside of America on stolen Serbian land in Kosovo.

Since the fall of the Berlin wall, NATO has aggressively marched Eastward toward Russia in a classic "drang nach osten." NATO has established a missile "defensive" shield right on Russia's borders. NATO encouraged and equipped the Georgians to attack the South Ossetians and Abkhazians in an effort to stir trouble on Russia's border. And now, NATO has incited mob violence to overthrow the democratically-elected government of the Ukraine. The goal of all of these surreptitious and incessant efforts are simply to break up Russia, the world's largest nation [5], so that her immense natural resources can be cheaply exploited by Western companies and to remove any lingering obstacles to the "New" World Order which will enslave all humanity.

Before "holier than thou" Western leaders such as Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper so judgmentally, viciously and rashly criticize Vladimir Putin for his honoring the wishes of a vast majority of Crimeans (with barely a shot fired) by returning the Crimea to Russia, they should look in the mirror and ask themselves who provoked him. They also need to realize that the West has completely lost any "moral" authority to condemn Russia for acting in her interests which include resisting NATO's efforts to enslave Russia.

Angelina Jolie Part 2...................................Jolie not only plagiarized Shakespeare for her movie she arrogantly brushed aside the real Romeo & Juliet of Bosnia, sniper killed on May 19, 1993.

He was Bosko Brkic, a Bosnian Serb, and she was Admira Ismic, a Bosnian Muslim—they were assassinated as they tried to escape the Muslim side of Sarajevo by crossing the Vrbanja Bridge for safety on the Serbian side of the city. In their dying embrace they remained on that bridge for several days. The media, like vultures, manipulated their deaths in much the same way Anthony Bond’s article is intended.

Bond also is quite loose with the facts, still holding on to the discredited claim that “8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed in Srebrenica.” For 8 years the world was also spoon-fed the claim that 250,000 were killed in the war…15 years later human rights organizations had trouble coming up with 96,400 victims on all sides. That does not seem to deter Anthony Bond and his form of Partisan journalism.

John Pomfret (Washington Post) reported from Tuzla a week after the fall of Srebrenica when he wrote: “I saw 4,000 Muslims men who made their way through the forest for safety in Tuzla.” But Jolie and Bond are not concerned with facts or accuracy they are driven by sick public relations and newspaper bylines.

Jolie’s father, actor Jon Voight attended Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York—a school built in the 1950s name after the Croatian Roman Catholic Archbishop who was a convicted war criminal and who spent ten years in prison for his WWII war crimes.

Angelina Jolie might pretend to be for “Human Rights” and “victims of rape and violence” but it is clear in this article that Jolie and Hague did not lay a wreath on any Serbian graves. That speaks volumes about her alleged sincerity. The final punch line in this article about, “20,000 raped women” by Mr. Bond is ugly Advocacy Journalism. He needs reminding about the Bosnian Muslim rape victim who fled to Switzerland where she became a radio celebrity up to the day she went into labor when she gave birth to a black baby.

The continuation of demonizing the Serbian people with collective guilt is very transparent in this article. Ms. Jolie missed a golden opportunity to be even-handed in Land of Blood and Honey and to respect the victims in Bosnia on all sides, many coming from mixed marriages. Now that we have 20/20 hindsight and many of these ongoing claims are being discredited… it appears that Ms. Jolie and Anthony Bond still think the public can be easily hoodwinked, again.

Tell A Lie A Hundred Times It Becomes The Truth

Angelina Jolie, is like the criminal in a low budget film who always returns to the scene of the crime. Jolie is shameless in returning to Bosnia after her propagandized rape movie entitled, In The Land of Blood and Honey—an irresponsible piece of film footage costing $50 million to produce that has failed miserably at the box office earning less then $5 million. Did she return to Srebrenica to mourn the dead or to rehabilitate her damaged career?

Bringing with her William Hague, the British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs is like bringing a fox to a cockfight. Great Britain was as guilty of perpetrating an illegal war against Serbia as President Clinton who launched the war without An Act of Congress, a UN Security Council vote, in violation of the UN Charter, The NATO Treaty, the Helsinki Final Act and The Geneva Conventions that prohibits the bombing of civilian targets.

The litany of war crimes in bombing 200 Serbian schools, dozens of hospitals and nursing homes, 14,000 Serbian homes, trains, buses, Belgrade Television, plus dropping 37,000 cluster bombs on civilian populations and uranium tipped bombs that has caused cancer deaths to increase 3,000% since the 1999 is a stain on Great Britain and the United States. William Hague and Angelina Jolie make a mockery of treachery and underhandedness.

During the Holocaust Goebbels is remembered for his phrase: “Tell a lie a hundred times and it becomes the truth.” Ms. Jolie wallows in such ideas pretending that “60,000 Bosnian women were raped.” An event discredited numerous times in the past dozen years. I remind Jolie of French journalist Jerome Bony, who described in a February 4, 1993 broadcast about his trek to Tuzla, which gained notoriety as the most prominent Bosnian town for finding Muslim rape victims, he wrote:

“When I was fifty kilometers from Tuzla I was told to ‘go to the
Tuzla gymnasium (high school) (where) there is 4,000 raped
women.’ At twenty kilometers this figure dropped to 400. At ten
kilometers only forty were left. Once at the site, I found only four
women willing to testify.”

Document #S24491, is the only document on rape at the United Nations during the Bosnian Civil War. It contained the legal video taped depositions of 800 Serbian rape victims who identified their rapists. None were ever indicted. These depositions were presented to the UN a month before Tom Post wrote the infamous Newsweek story of “60,000 rape victims.“ Are we to pretend that this was not damage control by the Bosnian government?

I spoke with Mr. Post at the time since he said at the end of his article “He only interviewed 23 Bosnian women.” When I asked how it was possible to extrapolate 23 into 60,000 he said, “That number came from Alija Izetbegovich and his Bosnian government.” We now know that this was one of many stage-managed Muslim media stunts. We also see how easily journalists participated in disinformation.

 

 

UK: Plot to 'Islamize' British Schools

Whilst sometimes the practices we use may not seem the correct way to do things you must remember this is a 'Jihad' and as such using all means possible to win the war is acceptable." — Quote from document leaked to the Sunday Times.
The Guardian -- an otherwise inveterate enforcer of British multiculturalism -- quotes senior teachers and school officials in Birmingham who say they recognize the tactics outlined in the document as having been used by Islamic hardliners to try to gain influence in the city's schools for over a decade.

British authorities are investigating the source of a document that purportedly outlines a plot by Muslim fundamentalists to Islamize public schools in England and Wales.
The four-page document describes a strategy—dubbed Operation Trojan Horse—to oust non-Muslim head teachers and staff at state schools in Muslim neighborhoods and replace them with individuals who will run the schools according to strict Islamic principles.
A copy of the undated and unsigned document was sent to the Birmingham City Council in November 2013, but its existence did not become publicly known until March 2014, when it was leaked to the London-based newspaper, the Sunday Times.
According to document, which can be read in full here, the five-pronged strategy is to:

Step 1. "Identify schools based in Muslim areas that you want to target... Start with the poorest performing schools first as they will be easiest for you to influence and take over."
Step 2. "Identify any Salafi [radical Islamists] parents within the school community. They are always the most committed to the faith and are hardliners in that regard and once charged up they keep going for longer... When the parents have been identified, we start to turn them against the head teacher and leadership team. The only way to do this is to tell each parent that the school is corrupting their children with sex education, teaching about homosexuals, making their children pray Christian prayers and [taking part in] mixed swimming and sports."
Step 3. The next step is to "parachute in" Muslim governors "to drip-feed our ideal for a Muslim school."
Step 4. "Identify key staff to disrupt the school from within... to eventually accuse the head of doing something wrong so that... the head resigns, or is sacked. It is also important... to ensure you have an English face amongst the group as this makes it much more believable."
Step 5. "Instigate an anonymous... letter campaign [to be circulated to MPs, press and ministers].... All these things will work towards wearing the head down, removing his/her resolve and weakening their mindset so they eventually just give up."

The document adds that the tactics to be used are:

"…totally invisible to the naked eye and allow us to operate under the radar. I have detailed the plan we have in Birmingham and how well it has worked and you will see how easy the whole process is to get the head teacher out and our own person in."
"[We have] caused a great amount of organized disruption in Birmingham and as a result we have our own academies and are on the way to getting rid of more head teachers and taking over their schools."
"Whilst sometimes the practices we use may not seem the correct way to do things you must remember this is a 'Jihad' and as such using all means possible to win the war is acceptable."

The document—which claims responsibility for recent takeovers of four schools and says it would be easy to do the same elsewhere—concludes: "We have an obligation to our children to fulfil our roles and ensure these schools are run on Islamic principles."

Speculation is rife about the source of the document. The Sunday Times believes the plot is the work of "disaffected parents" belonging to the Salafist branch of Islam who want to Islamize British society.
The Birmingham Mail says the document was probably written by a jihadist in Birmingham to an accomplice in Bradford because it contains the following sentence: "Operation Trojan Horse has been very carefully thought through and is tried and tested within Birmingham, implementing it in Bradford will not be difficult for you."
In an editorial, the Birmingham Mail also writes:

"The claim that Islamic fundamentalists are seeking to take over the running of several city schools, imposing their primitive world-view, will cause massive alarm. We make no judgment on the truth—or otherwise—of these very serious allegations. But it is clear that they need thorough investigation, that the inquiry must be transparent and that appropriate action must be taken if the claims are proved."

By contrast, Tahir Alam—a Birmingham school governor and prominent member of the Muslim Council of Britain who is mentioned in the leaked document—told the Guardian newspaper that the document was "a malicious fabrication and completely untrue."
Even if ongoing police investigations eventually conclude that the document is an elaborate hoax, what remains beyond dispute is that it addresses genuine problems linked to the growing assertiveness of Islam in the British school system.
For example, the Guardian—an otherwise inveterate enforcer of British multiculturalism—quotes senior teachers and school officials in Birmingham who say they recognize the tactics outlined in the document as having been used by Islamic hardliners to try to gain influence in the city's schools for over a decade.
Other accounts (here and here) reveal how British teachers have been bullied, smeared and driven from their jobs for resisting Islamic extremists. They tell of demands for strict dress codes, including long sleeves and wearing of the hijab for women teachers and girl pupils, and calls that Christmas celebrations, Easter eggs and any reference to Christianity should be banned.
An investigation by The Telegraph newspaper documents how an organized group of Muslim teachers, education consultants, school governors and activists is dedicated to furthering what one of them describes as an "Islamizing agenda" in Birmingham public schools.
Social media messages leaked to The Telegraph show how Muslim activists participating in a closed discussion group called "Educational Activists" describe their goals and tactics. In a typical entry—dated February 5, 2014—one member, Nasim Awan, an Islamic bookshop owner, political activist and former chair of the city's Springfield Neighborhood Forum, boasts:

"A battle was fought and won tonight at a large inner city primary school where the governors voted by 8-7 in favor of collective worship that is wholly or mainly of an Islamic character, thereby overturning five years of 'children pray in their own way and language!' The governing body is now polarized on faith grounds."

Other messages from different members include Islamic supremacist or anti-Semitic rhetoric. "JEWS have intentionally developed some websites to spread wrong information about the Koran," says one. Another message, sent from the mobile number of the deputy head of Carlton Bolling School in Bradford, Akhmed Hussain, says: "Al-Islam will prevail over all other ways of life. Look at how [the] Muslim population is increasing in the UK."
Still another message leaked to The Telegraph shows that educational excellence is not the main priority for the so-called educational activists. Awan writes: "First agenda item [for the new head teacher] is to apply for a determination," an official procedure to establish Islamic forms of worship at the school.
But Razwan Faraz, a deputy head teacher in Birmingham, advises Awan to pursue a more tactical approach:
"She [Shanaz Khan, a new Muslim head teacher at Small Heath, a secular state secondary school in Birmingham] is a very astute lady. She knows her game," Faraz writes. "Please don't pressurize her to start the Islamizing agenda first. That will be a lot easier when she is respected as leader. She has to establish herself with minimum controversy for the first six months, and lead the people to believe in her before they believe in her policies."

I helped to change the face of government in my County and even participated in the election process as a prescient chair and election judge. 

But nothing happened. It was the same corrupt political system, only now with new players in charge.  

Then I became vocal. I joined FB and other social media. I started a local 9-12 group. I started to listen to alternative radio such as Alex Jones, Steve Quayle, and anyone else who was sharing the “truth.” I posted links, videos, blogs which documented the governmental tyranny and take over, exposed the plots and people trying to destroy our Country, and warned about the loss of our personal freedoms. 

Then I got fed up. I grew tired of just ranting and raving about the problems with our political system, the politicians, and the corporate takeover of our personal freedoms.  I was tired of trying to wake my friends and family who were unwilling to hear. I focused my energy on getting prepared for what was coming. Yeah, people thought (and still think) I am crazy for storing food, medical supplies, barter items, guns, ammo, precious metals, and survival tools; but I know what is coming if the elite have their way. It will not be pretty, many will not survive, but I know I will. I have to. God has a plan for me. 

Then, I learned about Operation American Spring. Finally, someone willing to step up and “walk the walk” of all the “talk we have been spewing out about the evils of our government and the corrupt tyrants trying to destroy our very way of life. I knew I had to be a part of this. I am not content as so many to just sit back and continue to complain to those who will listen; I am ready to fight to make the necessary change come to bear.

Will it be easy? No. Do I question my decision to participate? Yes. Will we succeed? I don’t know. All I know is that I have to try. I will be able to look God in the eyes and say “At least I tried,” which will be more than most will be able to say. It is known that only 3% of the American colonists actively supported the Revolutionary War. I am one of that hopefully 3% of Americans who can win this current battle and take back our Country.

My question to everyone is, “Will you join me?”
