The treatment of our Military Veterans

Why does the administration treat our military veterans like human garbage? Every year on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, Barack Obama and our other politicians make very nice speeches, but the truth about how they feel about our veterans can be seen in how they are treated every single day.

In the United States today, there are well over half a million veterans that have been waiting for at least 125 days to have their benefit claims processed. Many of them will ultimately have their claims sent back or denied just so a government employee somewhere can get a bigger bonus.

Meanwhile, conditions at VA facilities all over the country are absolutely abysmal, and many veterans have to wait more than half a year just to get an appointment at one of those facilities. Once you start looking into how this country really treats military veterans, it becomes easier to understand why 22 military veterans commit suicide in America every single day.

Our vets have a higher rate of unemployment, a higher rate of poverty, a higher rate of homelessness, a higher rate of depression and a higher rate of divorce then the general population. It is a crying shame. One of the ways that any society is judged is by how it treats military veterans, and the truth is that America has failed miserably. This has been particularly true since Barack Obama has been in the White House

At one VA hospital in Wisconsin, one military veteran with a broken jaw that was seeking treatment still had not had his jaw fixed after a month and a half.

The number of active members of the U.S. military that are killing themselves now exceeds the number that is dying on the battlefield.

On any given night, approximately 200,000 military veterans are homeless in the United States

In some areas of the country the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has been caught banning the words “God” and “Jesus” during funeral services for veterans.

The federal government is increasingly labeling military veterans as “potential domestic terrorists” if they express viewpoints that are critical of the government. The following is from a recent article by John Whitehead…

Making matters worse, thanks to Operation Vigilant Eagle, a program launched by the Department of Homeland Security in 2009, military veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are also being characterized as extremists and potential domestic terrorist threats because they may be “disgruntled, disillusioned or suffering from the psychological effects of war.” As a result, these servicemen and women–many of whom are decorated–are finding themselves under surveillance, threatened with incarceration or involuntary commitment, or arrested, all for daring to voice their concerns about the alarming state of our union and the erosion of our freedoms.

An important point to consider, however, is that the government is not merely targeting individuals who are voicing their discontent so much as it is locking up individuals trained in military warfare who are voicing feelings of discontent. Under the guise of mental-health treatment and with the complicity of government psychiatrists and law-enforcement officials, these veterans are increasingly being portrayed as ticking time bombs in need of intervention.

U.K. Sells Bonds in China’s Currency, Adding Pressure on Dollar

Amid fast-growing pressure on the U.S. dollar’s status as the global reserve currency, authorities in the United Kingdom this week successfully issued sovereign bonds denominated in Communist China’s strictly controlled currency known as the yuan or renminbi. It was the first such bond issue in the Western world, and the largest non-Chinese bond ever sold, according to news reports. While the initial scheme was relatively small — worth about US$500 million, contrasted with about US$200 billion in yearly U.K. government borrowing — its implications for the dollar and the international monetary system could be profound in the longer term, analysts said.

The move by London is part of a broader trend that includes, among other elements, coordinated efforts by top establishment insiders from around the world to drastically re-shape the international monetary system. Essentially, the planet is gradually shifting away from the dollar as the unchallenged global reserve and moving toward a globalized currency regime run by the International Monetary Fund and other global institutions. The U.K.’s yuan-denominated bond issue came after the IMF boss said the outfit might someday move to Beijing from D.C., even as the Communist dictatorship there called for a “de-Americanized” so-called “New World Order.”

According to the IMF, China’s economy recently surpassed the U.S. economy as the largest in the world. While the claims are seriouly flawed, the announcement made major waves. Meanwhile, serious calls for an IMF-run planetary currency system have also grown louder around the world in recent years. Those calls feature escalating demands from governments everywhere for the expansion of the basket of currencies underpinning the IMF’s proto-global currency, known as Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), to include the yuan and other currencies of totalitarian-minded regimes.

In a 2009 report, the Chinese “people’s” central-bank boss, Zhou Xiaochuan, explained that “the desirable goal of reforming the international monetary system… is to create an international reserve currency that is disconnected from individual nations and is able to remain stable in the long run, thus removing the inherent deficiencies caused by using credit-based national currencies.” When asked about the Communist Chinese regime’s plot at a Council on Foreign Relations event, then-U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy “TurboTax” Geithner said, “We’re actually quite open to that.” With this week’s developments, that vision moved one step closer to becoming reality.
According to U.K. officials, proceeds from the bond issue will be used for the U.K. government’s foreign-exchange reserves, adding to the U.S. dollars, euros, Japanese yen, and Canadian dollars it already holds. Analysts said the move signals the yuan’s potential future as a global reserve currency. But the significance goes well beyond that. “For the U.K. it represents another attempt to become the eminent world financial center,” observed American economist Mark Thornton, a senior fellow with the Ludwig von Mises Institute. “For the U.S. it represents another small blow to the status of the dollar and U.S. financial markets.”
“The U.S. dollar has already lost its near monopoly position as a reserve currency and medium of international trade,” continued Thornton, associated with the free market-oriented Austrian school of economics. “The competitive position of the Chinese renminbi continues to improve in small ways. The question is whether this will be a multiple decade competition between the dollar and the renminbi, or whether the ‘dam will break’ like it did in WWI when the eminent currency status changed from the British pound to the US dollar.” He called the U.K. announcement the “first trickle through the dam.”
U.K. officials did not touch on the broader implications of the move. Still, U.K. Treasury chief George Osborne celebrated the sovereign renminbi bond issue as a “great success” that will supposedly “deliver value for money to taxpayers,” despite it costing more than raising the funds in other currencies. “Our long term economic plan is working, but the job isn’t done,” said Chancellor Osborne, who recently met with Communist Chinese bigwigs and other leading globalists at the secrecy-obsessed Bilderberg summit in Copenhagen. “We need to export to fast growing economies like China, and attract more investment to our shores.”
To achieve those goals, Osborne claimed, “we need to make sure China’s currency is used and traded here, as that will be not only good for China, but good for British jobs and investment too.” Claiming London was “the global center for finance,” the controversial U.K. Treasury boss also said he was “delighted” to have taken the next big step in making the city “a major global center for trading and investing the [sic] Chinese currency too.” Numerous analysts also highlighted the importance of the bond issue, which came after the U.K. sold Islamic sharia-compliant bonds this summer, in further boosting London’s role as a key center for trade in yuan.
The yuan-denominated debt, referred to as “Dim Sum bonds,” is set to mature in three years. The U.K. issue — a major step toward further internationalizing the Chinese currency — was organized by Bank of China, HSBC, and Standard Chartered. Despite being loosened considerably in recent years, the yuan still faces heavy official restrictions on convertibility and non-domestic use. Many of those impediments to its more widespread use in trade and finance outside of China, though, are expected to be axed in the coming years — making the yuan even more appealing as a potential reserve. More than a few major companies have also issued yuan-denominated bonds in recent years.
Already, the renminbi has overtaken the euro, the troubled single European currency, as the top currency used in global trade finance after the U.S. dollar, according to Bloomberg. Demand for the new bonds was strong, too, pushing down the rate from the expected 2.9 percent to 2.7 percent. The U.K. Treasury’s move “recognizes the importance of renminbi as a reserve currency,” chief executive Au King Lun with Bank of China’s Hong Kong Asset Management was quoted as saying in the Wall Street Journal. “Other countries have exposure to renminbi but the U.K. is the first one to issue bonds in renminbi. It’s a very significant development.”
Writing in Forbes, Fellow Tim Worstall at the London-based Adam Smith Institute explained another key element of the U.K. move. “The basic thought here is that in order to construct a viable bond market you want to have some sovereign issues in that currency or of that structure to act as the risk free benchmark for other issuers,” he said. “It would be entirely possible for a corporate to issue renminbi bonds in London. It’s just that no one would really have any idea how to price it: there would be no comparators. Thus such borrowing would be very expensive: uncertainty over price in financial markets tends to make the price rather high. So issue sovereign bonds and that issue or issues can act as that pricing benchmark.”
Since World War II, the U.S. dollar has served as the world reserve currency. Initially, the privilege resulted from America’s unchallenged global power and the currency’s gold backing. When President Nixon severed the final link between the dollar and the precious metal in 1971, however, the Federal Reserve’s currency maintained its dominance because oil was priced in dollars — hence the term “petrodollar.” With the privately owned U.S. central bank conjuring unfathomable amounts of debt-backed dollars into existence, and with the globalist establishment increasingly working to dethrone the currency, analysts widely expect the dollar’s status as the global reserve to end. It may be sudden, or it may be slow, but it will come.

The Communist Chinese regime, which originally seized power with key support from the same globalist establishment that is still helping to orchestrate its rise to what billionaire George Soros touted as the leader of the “New World Order,” is playing a crucial role in the quiet de-dollarization process. From sidelining the U.S. dollar in international trade to using its propaganda organs to demand a “de-Americanized” world order, Beijing may end up being among the most important players in the demise of the dollar outside of the Federal Reserve and the U.S. government.
Of course, if and when the dollar eventually loses its status as the global reserve currency, the implications for Americans and the U.S. economy would be hard to overstate. The gargantuan trade deficits fueled by government and central-bank policy, for example, would come to a screeching halt as prices for imports skyrocketed. The outlandish borrowing and spending spree taking place in Washington, D.C., meanwhile, would also have to end abruptly unless the Fed continued printing ever-greater sums of currency and loaning it to the government (with impossible-to-pay interest attached) — fueling an even more extreme collapse in the value of the dollar. Non-financial consequences could prove even more disastrous.

The good news is that the solution to the potentially looming calamity is relatively simple: Restore sound money and force the feds to obey the U.S. Constitution. However, that will require overwhelming public pressure on Congress, which at this point does not seem likely to materialize in time.
IRS Sued for Withholding Info on Shaheen Targeting Conservative Groups

The conservative Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire filed a lawsuit Thursday against the Internal Revenue Service for allegedly withholding information about correspondence between the IRS and two New Hampshire members of Congress over the IRS targeting of conservative non-profit organizations applying for tax-exempt status.
The suit charges that the tax collection agency violated the Freedom of Information Act by refusing to divulge the content of communications between IRS officials and Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Represebtative Carol Shea-Porter, both Democrats. The suit was filed at U.S. District Court in Concord by attorney Bryan Gould, along with Jay Sekulow, chief counsel, and three other attorneys for the American Center of Law & Justice. The suit claims the IRS, by refusing to comply with the Freedom of Information Act request, denied Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire "the opportunity to obtain and effectively convey to the voting public vital information about those seeking re-election."
"This is the latest in a series of actions by the IRS to interject itself into the election process — a move that reflects the unbridled arrogance of a tax agency out of control," Sekulow said in a press release charging that the IRS with "engaging in a deliberate campaign to prevent voters from gaining important information that could have an impact on the outcome of the election."

Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire has been running ads targeting Shaheen, now in a closely watched
U.S. Senate race with former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, since the middle of last year. The organization has criticized both Shaheen and Shea-Porter, who is also running for reelection, for allegedly attempting to "isolate themselves" from New Hampshire voters by not holding town hall meetings where they might be questioned about their policies and actions. Spokesman Derek Dufresne issued a statement charging the pair has also "called on the IRS to target organizations like ours to hinder our ability to highlight their failed records in Washington. For months, the IRS has been stalling and surpassing deadline after deadline in order to delay the release of correspondences between their office and Senator Shaheen and Congresswoman Shea-Porter," Dufresne said. "Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire has been more than patient waiting for a response, but at this point, we believe that the only means to gain these documents is through litigation."
The suit is the latest development in a controversy that erupted last year with the discovery that the IRS had been targeting tax-exempt applications of certain non-profit groups for added scrutiny, based on names that indicated political or ideological leanings. The suit lists "Tea Party," "Patriots" "9/12," "We the People," "Take Back the Country" and other groups "with conservative-sounding names" among those targeted for added scrutiny. The agency questioned the groups about "their donors and other aspects of their operations," the Washington Post reported at the time. Organizers were asked about donor lists, Facebook postings, and even "what books people were reading," according to the news site Politico reported. The Washington Examiner last May reported on a hearing by the House Ways and Means Committee in which Representative Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) raised the question of whether the IRS had even inquired about the prayers of members of a pro-life organization. Citing a report by The Thomas More Society, a public interest law firm for religious liberty, Schock said the IRS had asked the Coalition for Life of Iowa to "Please detail the content of the members of your organization's prayers."
"Would that be an inappropriate question to a 501(c)(3) applicant?" Shock asked Steven Miller, then the IRS commissioner. "It pains me to say I can't speak to that one either," Miller replied. The commissioner later said it would surprise him if that question had been asked, but he said he could not comment on a specific case.

Shaheen and Shea-Porter are both defenders of "abortion rights," as well as supporters of "ObamaCare" and other policies and programs opposed by conservative groups. Shaheen was one of "a number of Democratic senators" who wrote letters to the IRS demanding investigation of nonprofits allegedly engaged in "political activities," the lawsuit charges, leading to "a string of unconstitutional and intrusive inquiries to conservative groups around the country."
The New Hampshire senator was also among the signatories to a February 16 letter, the suit says, demanding the IRS "immediately change the administrative framework for enforcement of the tax code as it applies to groups designated as 'social welfare organizations,'" and charging that organizations involved in political activity were using the tax code to "hide behind a façade of charitable work."

The suit charges the IRS with repeated violations of a 20-day deadline for complying with the Freedom of Information Act request sent by Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire on June 18 of this year. The agency acknowledged receipt of the request on June 24, the suit says, and set August 23 as the deadline for compliance. It later pushed the date back to October 23. An October 22 letter from the IRS informed the group it could expect to hear from the agency by January 27, 2015.

Delaying the response to date well beyond this year's November 4 election, the lawsuit contends, "has deprived Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire, Inc. of the opportunity to obtain and effectively convey to the voting public vital information about public officials seeking re-election to congressional office." The suit seeks an order requiring the IRS to produce the requested records, a finding that the agency had violated the plaintiffs, the awarding of "reasonable attorneys' fees" and other costs and "all other relief to which the Plaintiff may be entitled."

ISIS Snuffs Out Ancient Christianity

In Egypt, a young Coptic Christian man, accused of blaspheming Islam for simply "liking" an Arabic-language Facebook page, was sentenced to six years in prison.
One of the intruders in Uganda was shouting, "Today we shall kill you [for converting to Christianity] -- you... are not respecting our prophet's religion." He then heard his 12-year-old-girl's cries as the Muslim intruders were strangling her. Then they seized him.
Muslims in Germany were granted their own section of the cemetery. Now these same Islamic communities are demanding that, during Islamic funerals, Christian symbols and crosses in the cemetery be removed or covered up.
During the Islamic State's June invasion and consolidation of Mosul, Iraq -- where Christians have been present since the first century -- countless atrocities against them were committed. Accordingly, the region is now reportedly empty of Christian presence.
The Islamic State, among other acts, reinstituted the collection of jizya, the "tribute" conquered Christians (and Jews) were historically required to pay in order not to be killed in accordance with the Koran (9:29).
In one instance, three Islamic State members burst into the home of a Christian family, demanding the jizya-money. When the father of the house pleaded that he did not have the money, the intruders raped his wife and daughter in front of him. The man was reportedly so traumatized that he committed suicide. Four other Christian women were killed for not wearing the Islamic veil.
Soon after taking over Mosul, the Islamic State also announced that it would destroy all Christian places of worship. Several churches were burned, including the Armenian church near the Al Salam hospital, and the Church of the Holy Spirit, after first being looted and desecrated. A large statue of the Virgin Mary disappeared.
Among the many Christians missing are two nuns from the Daughters of Mary Order, who managed an orphanage for girls in Mosul. It is believed they have been kidnapped.
Sister Utoor Joseph (left) and Sister Miskintah, are nuns who disappeared on June 28 in Mosul, Iraq, and are believed to have been kidnapped by Islamists.

The rest of June's roundup of Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes (but is not limited to) the following accounts, listed by theme and country alphabetical order, not necessarily according to severity.
Church Attacks and Slaughters
Indonesia: Another Catholic community was attacked in the world's largest Muslim-population country. The Parish of the Sacred Heart in Pugeran, in the South of Yogyakarta, was targeted by three different groups of unknown assailants riding motorcycles during the first morning Mass. The incident coincided with the start of Ramadan, Islam's holy month, which often sees a rise in hostility for religious minorities. The attackers, who were dressed in black and covered their faces with masks, broke through the parish gates while shouting, "Allah is Greater!," Islam's historic war-cry. They attacked some Christian objects and posters placed there by members of the local Catholic community. Weeks earlier, on May 30, "Islamic extremists attacked a group of Catholics gathered in prayer, beating up the community leader; a week later, Pastor Niko, leader of the Protestant Christian community, was targeted by extremists 'accused' of having set up an 'illegal' house of prayer without permission," according to Asia News. It continued, "Indonesia is the most populous Muslim nation in the world. Increasingly however, it has become the scene of attacks or episodes of intolerance against minorities, whether they are Christians, Ahmadi Muslims or belong to other faiths."

Kenya: Approximately 50 militants from Somalia's Islamic Al Shabaab ("the youth") network attacked two hotels, a police station and other buildings in Mpeketoni, a predominantly Christian town on Kenya's coast, during the night of Sunday June 15. They chanted "Allahu Akbar!" ("Allah is Greater!") and killed whoever could not recite verses from the Koran. The militants reportedly also went door-to-door asking residents their religion and killing them if they said, "Christian." More than 57 people were killed, including six children of church pastors.

Nigeria: Suspected Boko Haram jihadis killed nine Christians during a June 1 Sunday church service, hours before bombing a Christian area in neighboring Adamawa state. The blast resulted in nearly 50 deaths. In addition, at least 10 gunmen attacked the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria during worship in Attagara village. The jihadis killed nine Christian members who were volunteering as security for the rest of the congregation during service. Another Christian church in Central State Plateau was set ablaze by armed men who also killed at least eight Christian worshippers. According to the Italian news agency, AGI, "The police made their statement, saying that for now they have not assigned the blame for the action, even though the MO and the aims of the attack lead to presuming it was the work by the Boko Haram Islamic Fundamentalists, who have killed thousands of people since 2009." Speaking about the June 1 church attack, one area Christian leader said that the attackers were a small part of 200 assailants who have invaded Attagara and other predominantly Christian villages around Gwoza the past two weeks, destroying homes and churches: "Our church in Attagara was attacked also on Sunday," said Dr. Rebecca Dali. "There have been 24-hour-a-day attacks on Christian communities of Attagara, Hawul, and Gwoshe around the Gwoza mountains…. The Boko Haram Islamists have destroyed 36 churches in Gwoza area, including that of Attagara attacked on Sunday. We now have only two churches that have not been affected."

Sudan: Authorities in North Khartoum demolished another church building, that of the Sudanese Church of Christ. Bulldozers came and demolished the church just one day after authorities gave verbal notice of the decision during the congregation's Sunday worship service the previous day. Congregation members stood by watching their church razed to the ground. About 70 security personnel armed with guns and tear gas stood by, threatening anyone who dared to interfere or protest. "They wanted to beat us or throw tear gas on us," said one congregation member. Authorities gave no clear reason why the church, which has stood since 1983 and which has all the legal paperwork, was being destroyed. According to Rev. Kwa Shamal, the church's pastor who questioned the commissioner, "They did not want us to ask many questions on why they were demolishing our church." Because the government refuses to grant the church any compensation, "We will have to pray in a makeshift tent next Sunday" along the road, said the pastor.

Attacks on Christian Freedom: Apostasy and Blasphemy
Afghanistan: The New York Times told the story of "Josef," a Muslim convert to Christianity who is on the run from Afghani family members trying to slay him. The apostate from Islam lives in a 10-by-10 dilapidated room, his few worldly possessions a tattered Bible and wooden cross with the Sermon on the Mount written on it: "Josef's brother-in-law Ibrahim arrived in Kabul recently, leaving behind his family and business in Pakistan, to hunt down the apostate and kill him. When reached by telephone, Ibrahim, who uses only one name, offered a reporter for The New York Times $20,000 to tell him where Josef was hiding. 'If I find him, once we are done with him, I will kill his son as well, because his son is a bastard,' Ibrahim said, referring to Josef's 3-year-old child. 'He is not from a Muslim father.'" Earlier, when Ibrahim first discovered Josef's conversion to Christianity, he and his family attacked the convert, tied his hands and feet and were going to slaughter him until the father intervened, calling for time to investigate matters. Josef used the time to escape. Having had a long spiritual journey and closely studying all religions, the Christian convert said, "Even if I get killed, I won't convert back."

Egypt: Islamic vindictiveness against Coptic Christians accused of "blasphemy" and "apostasy" was in the air all throughout the month of June in President Sisi's not so "new" Egypt. First, Kerolos Shouky Attallah, a young Coptic Christian man accused of blaspheming Islam for simply "liking" an Arabic-language Facebook page administered by an anonymous group of Christian converts, was sentenced to six years in prison. According to Attallah's attorney, the Copt did not make any comments on the site, share any of the postings or upload anything to it, and removed his name from the page once he realized that it might offend Muslims. In the hours preceding the sentencing, a rioting mob burned down several Christian-owned shops in the area near Luxor. Safwat Samaan, Chairman of Nation Without Borders, a human rights and development group headquartered in Luxor, said, "The sentence today was a shock not just to Kerolos but to everyone who uses Facebook in Egypt. Any person who uses Facebook in Egypt and presses 'Like' on any page … can be put into prison for six years."
Also, An Egyptian appeals court upheld a blasphemy conviction against Dimyana Abdel-Nour, a Coptic Christian teacher, and sentenced her to six months. The ruling overturned an earlier sentencing, which only imposed a fine. The appellate court in Luxor stated that the elementary school teacher had insulted Islam in front of her pupils. Last year, three 10-year-old Muslim children complained to their parents that the Coptic teacher showed disgust for Islam when discussing it in class.
Bishoy Armia Boulous—more notoriously known as Mohammed Hegazy, the first Egyptian ever to try legally to change his religious identity from Muslim to Christian on his official ID—was sentenced to five years in prison. (Years earlier, when he first tried to change his ID, he was also imprisoned and tortured.) The judge cited "disturbing the peace by broadcasting false information" as the reason for sentencing the apostate, who in the weeks before, was documenting political unrest in Egypt brought on by innumerable Muslim extremist attacks on Christians. The exact section of the nation's criminal code that Boulous allegedly violated was not released. According to Boulous's lawyer, the real reason he was charged and sentenced is because he abandoned Islam and became a Christian: "The officer who arrested him, when he found that he hadn't committed a crime, made up things to keep him in prison so he could be sentenced," said the lawyer.

Uganda: After Muslim family members tried, but failed, to poison a relative who converted to Christianity, he was attacked again by Muslims who killed his young daughter. On June 16, four men forced their way into the home of Hassan Muwanguzi—a former sheikh who converted to Christianity in 2003. One of the intruders was shouting, "Today we shall kill you—you have been a trouble-maker and are not respecting our prophet's religion." Thinking they would not hurt Grace Baruka, his daughter, he fled into a room, but then heard the 12-year-old girl's cries as the Muslim intruders were strangling her. When he came out of the room they seized him: "They hit me with a blunt object, and I fell down. I just woke up and saw neighbors surrounding me while wailing, saying that my daughter is in critical condition." Neighbors took Grace to a clinic but she was declared dead upon arrival. Muwanguzi has suffered greatly for embracing Christianity: first he lost his wife and job as a schoolteacher after his conversion; then an aunt tried to poison him by putting insecticide in his tea; and now his 12-year-old daughter has been killed. Lamented the former Muslim, in tears, to Morning Star News: "I am regretting why I survived the poisoning. God could have allowed me to die. My daughter has died, and I am now mourning for her death as well [as] have pain all over my body."
Dhimmitude
Lebanon: The Abra Municipality, a predominantly Christian suburb in the coastal city of Sidon, released a memo urging all citizens—the majority of whom are Christian—to respect observant Muslims during Ramadan and abstain from eating in public. In his memo, Mayor Walid Nicolas al-Mchantaf stressed the importance of showing consideration during the holy month and refraining from dining at restaurants and cafes during the fasting period, which begins at sunrise and ends at sunset. A large Muslim community exists in the town and has been in the spotlight since last year's violent clashes between Islamic gunmen and the Lebanese Army.
Germany: Muslims were granted their own section at the cemetery in the Hessian town of Seligenstadt. And they have been allowed to conduct Islamic ceremonies, in which the corpse is wrapped in cloths and buried facing Mecca. Now these same Islamic communities, including Ahmadiyyas, are demanding that Christian symbols and crosses in the cemetery be removed or covered up during Islamic funerals.

United Kingdom: The National Health Services suspended a Christian health worker on full pay for nine months for praying with a Muslim colleague. Victoria Wasteney, a senior occupational therapist, was also accused of "bullying" the colleague after giving her a book about a Muslim woman who converts to Christianity. According to Wasteney, her relationship with the Muslim woman was friendly; the Muslim female often came to her for support; the Christian health worker did not think that she was behaving coercively or disrespectfully. Andrea Williams, the chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, said the case demonstrated that "the NHS is increasingly dominated by a suffocating liberal agenda that chooses to bend over backwards to accommodate certain beliefs but punishes the Christian."
The "Explosive Growth" of Jihadism in the Netherlands

"The increasing momentum of Dutch jihadism poses an unprecedented threat to the democratic legal order of the Netherlands." — Dutch intelligence service, AIVD.
"For adherents unable or unwilling to join the armed struggle in Syria or elsewhere, social media offers a form of involvement that allows them to identify themselves as jihadists... without actually having to fight. After all, the movement also considers 'dawah' -- preaching the 'call to Islam" -- a form of jihad." — Dutch intelligence service, AIVD.
"Social media has made it possible for a person to go far more quickly from being a passive recipient of jihadist propaganda messages to a sympathizer and then a supporter... Some are also known to have been involved in atrocities, such as beheading prisoners... social media has changed the structure of the and cohesions of the jihadist movement... it has taken on the characteristics of a swarm (in the group behavior sense)." — Dutch intelligence service, AIVD.
"The jihadist movement can only genuinely be disrupted, in a way that prevents the emergence of new guiding figures and structures, if such efforts [not one-off actions] are maintained over an extended period." — Dutch intelligence service, AIVD.
"Dutch jihadists are convinced that the caliphate is not some utopian dream but an achievable reality for Syria and other Muslim nations -- and even for the Netherlands." — Dutch intelligence service, AIVD.
The home-grown jihadist movement in the Netherlands is experiencing sudden and explosive growth, according to a new report published by the Dutch intelligence service, AIVD.
The Dutch jihadist movement is not only growing in size and strength, it is also becoming increasingly open and provocative, both online and on the streets, according to the report, which warns that the increasing momentum of Dutch jihadism poses an unprecedented threat to the democratic legal order of the Netherlands.
The 58-page report, entitled "The Transformation of Jihadism in the Netherlands: Swarm Dynamics and New Strength," provides an in-depth analysis of the various factors underlying the "new dynamism" of the jihadist phenomenon.
According to the AIVD, the Dutch jihadist movement began a process of far-reaching change in late 2010, when several jihadists were prevented from leaving the Netherlands to join fellow jihadists in Pakistan and Somalia.
Their subsequent interactions with Dutch police and judicial authorities prompted the jihadists and other members of their networks to improve their modus operandi, which eventually led to a wholesale internal professionalization of the movement.
At the same time, Dutch jihadists began adopting propaganda methods developed by fellow jihadists in Britain. Inspired by Islam4UK, a now-banned jihadist group founded by the British Islamist firebrand Anjem Choudary, Dutch jihadists launched their own activist movements, namely Sharia4Holland and Behind Bars/Street Dawah (Straat Dawah).
"By making use of activist techniques like demonstrations and leafleting to disseminate provocative jihadist propaganda openly, these groups were able to mobilize some fellow Muslims and attract new recruits," according to the AIVD. "Many young people, in particular, found a way of venting their jihadist ideals through such activities."
Social media has added another entirely new dynamic into Dutch jihadism. Beyond allowing far more intensive flows of information and communications between jihadists, both domestically and internationally, social media has also changed the nature of those flows.
Before the emergence of social media, information flowed vertically (hierarchical) from one to many. By contrast, information on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter flows horizontally (peer-to-peer) from many to many, thus greatly expanding opportunities for interactivity. According to the AIVD:
"Jihadists are constantly influencing one another through social media. Young people undergoing radicalization trawl Facebook in search of like-minded individuals and post jihadist material on their own profiles, thus influencing their own circle of friends. On Twitter, jihadists debate quite openly with each other and with their critics, who often face abuse or worse. They also post photographs of Dutch fighters in Syria on Facebook, which are then shared by members of jihadist communities. Lectures are announced as Facebook events, too, so that potential attendees can see whether people they know will be there as well. The Dutch jihadist world has become simultaneously large, small and fast-moving."
Social media has also enhanced jihadist recruitment efforts:
"For adherents unable or unwilling to join the armed struggle in Syria or elsewhere, such activity provides another form of involvement that allows them to identify themselves as jihadists. It is their way of being part of 'Syria,' or the 'holy war' in general, without actually having to fight. After all, the movement also considers 'dawah'—preaching the 'call to Islam'—a form of jihad. This parity strengthens the links between those who stay at home to practice dawah and those who leave to fight.
"There is no doubt that the chance of coming into contact with jihadism—particularly on social media—has increased substantially in recent years. Consequently, it has become possible for a person to go far more quickly from being a passive recipient of its propaganda messages to a sympathizer and then a supporter. There is also a real danger that such new 'online jihadists' might continue radicalizing to the point where they actually commit acts of violence or leave for a conflict zone. In fact, this is exactly how many of the Dutch fighters now in Syria came to be there. They evolved very quickly from followers at home to front-line jihadists. The AIVD has established that a large proportion of them have been trained in Syria in the use of weapons and have taken part in actual combat. Some are also known to have been involved in atrocities, such as beheading prisoners."
The Dutch-Turkish jihadist known as Yilmaz, pictured in Syria, has proven adept at the use of social media for jihadist "public relations".

According to the AIVD, social media has changed the structure and cohesion of the jihadist movement in the Netherlands to such an extent that it has taken on the characteristics of a "swarm" (in the group behavior sense of the word). This means that it is highly decentralized, with numerous individual elements that are largely autonomous. Collectively, however, they maintain their cohesion and direction almost as if a single entity.
"The jihadist swarm may be very dynamic and changeable, but it still knows how to move like one tightly ordered body, despite sometimes seeming capricious and unpredictable," the report says, adding:
"The upshot of all this is that government attempts to tackle particular jihadist individuals or structures will probably have considerably less effect now upon the movement as a whole than they previously would have done. Particularly when they are one-off actions. The movement can only genuinely be disrupted, in a way that prevents the emergence of new guiding figures and structures, if such efforts are maintained over an extended period."
In addition to the internal and structural developments that have transformed Dutch jihadism, several contextual factors, both domestic and international, have also contributed to its growth.
Domestically, Dutch Salafism has undergone an important ideological shift.
Salafism is a movement that calls on Muslims to return to the form of Islam that was practiced at its inception. Its adherents reject many of the ideas and customs that have become part of Islamic tradition in subsequent centuries.
Present-day Salafism has three main strands: apolitical, political and jihadi. All three pursue the same ultimate objective: the establishment of a society based solely upon the tenets of "pure" Islam.
Unlike their jihadi counterpart, however, the apolitical and political strands argue that the principal means of reaching this goal should be "dawah," or the "call to Islam" in the form of preaching and proselytization. By contrast, jihadi Salafism prioritizes the "necessity" of violent jihad.
In recent years, a new group of dawah Salafist preachers has emerged in the Netherlands who are more radical than their predecessors, and who have effectively blurred the lines between dawah Salafism and jihadism. The AIVD explains:
"Theirs is a radical message, which not only promulgates intolerance but also smooths over the ideological differences between dawah Salafism and jihadism in respect of the legitimacy of the 'holy war.' These preachers do not consider themselves part of a movement separate from that of the jihadis (a distinction the established dawah Salafists draw far more clearly). And it is they who exert the greatest influence over young people with jihadist tendencies or sympathies.
"Due in part to the emergence of preachers operating outside the established non-violent tradition, dawah Salafism has now become something of a breeding ground for jihadism in the Netherlands."
Internationally, the conflict in Syria, which began in March 2011, has acted as a catalyst, amplifying the effects of all of the other developments to produce an explosive growth of jihadism in the Netherlands.
According to the AIVD, the large numbers of Dutch jihadists travelling to Syria show that "this particular conflict has significantly reduced the barriers to active participation in jihad." It adds that the propaganda generated by the conflict is fuelling the growth of an "assertive Dutch jihadism" in which jihadist groups are "deliberately pushing at the boundaries of what is permissible under Dutch law."
The AIVD concludes with a warning:
"Already, reports of jihadists' supposed progress in Syria in establishing an Islamic caliphate under Sharia law are having a visible effect in the Netherlands, in that they are further radicalizing backers of that ultimate goal. Emanating primarily from groups like [the Islamic State], such stories convince supporters and sympathizers that the caliphate is not some utopian dream but an achievable reality for Syria and other Muslim nations—and even for the Netherlands."

The power of second amendment for Black Community

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice echoed similar sentiments in 2005 when she explained her strong support of the Second Amendment to Larry King. “The way I come out of my own personal experience, in which in Birmingham, Ala., my father and his friends defended our community in 1962 and 1963 against White Knight Riders by going to the head of the community, the head of the cul-de-sac, and sitting there, armed. And so I’m very concerned about any abridgement of the Second Amendment.”
