Want Socialism ?

30,822 People died every single day for four years.

 Mao Zedong's

 "Great Leap Forward,"

Following the Anti-Rightist Campaign, ( over 1.5 Million dead) (the 11th such Campaign if your counting), came Mao Zedong's "Great Leap Forward!"

 This “Great Leap Forward”

(also known as the “Socialist Education Campaign”)

was another campaign initiated by Mao Zedong (Anita Dunn’s favorite)  in an effort to catch up with the economy of the Great Britain.  It was disastrous to their economy and catastrophic to humanity.

Mr. Dikotter, Historian and award winning novelist, who teaches at the University of Hong Kong, states:

“From 1958 to 1962, the systematic torture, brutality, starvation and killing of Chinese peasants, was "one of the worst catastrophes the world has ever known and nearly equals Second World War in its magnitude. At least 45 million people were worked, starved or beaten to death in China over these four years;

(the worldwide death toll of the entire Second World War was 55 million).

It ranks alongside the gulags and the Holocaust as one of the three greatest events of the 20th century....

It was like (the Cambodian) Pol Pot's genocide multiplied 20 times over,"

( for more on the Khmer Rouge see recent post at Socialism Sucks)

As the (Socialist Education Campaign) or “Great Leap Forward” took hold,

 ( Mr. Dikotter continues )

“a war raged between the peasants and the state. In this period , a third of all homes in China were destroyed to produce fertilizer”!

In the “People's Republic of China“, at this time, millions of farming peasants were ordered away from their farms to join the iron and steel production workforce.

( Don’t you just love the way Socialists can ORDER you to do things!)

There was a big push to create their own steel and iron. (To catch up with the “West“.)

So , “The Party” told the people to put up makeshift furnaces in their own back yards and gather up all the scrap metals they could find, to be melted down and forged into steel.. When the people ran out of scrap metal, they started melting down everything they could find, including tools and utensils. This resulted in impurities that produced metal that could not be formed into anything useful.

 It was too brittle. !

So, all the good farming and personal tools were lost and not replaceable! Worse of all, this useless labor took away from food production and led to a shortfall in food.

“The nation descended into famine and starvation.”

Members of the rural farming communes were seen as "digits", or a faceless workforce. (Socialism)

For anyone caught stealing food, even small amounts, the punishments were horrendous.

There was a "staggering degree of violence".

(Wow ! Samething , different day)

Parents were forced to bury their children alive! Others were set on fire, branded, beaten to death, drowned, mutilated, strangled, hanged, boiled alive and beheaded."

Those who were too old or ill to be effective workers?

They were banned from the kitchens and starved to death.

(less mouths to feed by the state)

 (You’ve just gotta love Socialism!)

Chinese Communist Party archives document the genocide of 45 Million people over a 4-year period.

 45 Million People !!!!

That's 11,250,000 people per year, for four years.  30,822 People died every single day for four years.

Think about that the next time you hear about the greatness of Chairman Mao Zedong !

The “Socialist Education Campaign” , should have been enough “Socialist Education” to last a lifetime , but now there are those, here in the US, that say their “ Socialism” will be different this time !!

How much more “Socialist Education” do these people need ??!!  In the next few years (1966-76), would come Mao’s :

“Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution” bringing forth more starvation, torture and murder.

All in the great name of Socialism and Communism !

Mao Zedong pronounced the establishment of the People's Republic of China under the "leadership of the Chinese Communist Party" on October 1, 1949.

 Well, there it is !

Just another historical episode in the life of this MURDEROUS ideology !

 Different time,

 Different place,

 Same result, every time !

 It NEVER changes!

“Know the History” !!!
