April 2nd – This is heartbreaking. Reports are of another shooting at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Fort Hood was put on lockdown and residents told to seek shelter. On November 5, 2009, Nidal Hasan fatally shot 14 and injured more than 30 at the same location. Despite administration officials labeling this an act of “workplace violence,” this was terrorism plain and simple. On September 13th of last year, Aaron Alexis entered the Washington Navy Yard and killed 12 more. Both ...Fort Hood & the Washington Navy Yard have armed guards. But what they don’t have is a policy allowing those on the premises the right to carry. And there is little doubt that there would have been far fewer fatalities had this been the case. So today we extend our prayers to the victims and their families of another despicable and senseless act. In their honor, Americans should demand that all those serving our nation have the right to protect themselves. P
