China Remains Among Worst Nations for Religious Freedom

A new report by the Belgium based Human Rights Without Frontiers International has concluded that China remains one of the world's worst places for citizens to enjoy religious freedom. The report comes despite a general impression in the international community that China has largely improved its track record on human rights and religious freedom over the past few decades. While there have undoubtedly been improv...ements, conditions for religious minorities remain woeful as they face tight control over their activities. Members of unregistered religious groups even face arrest.
