In George Orwell's 1984, thoughtcrime was a major-punishable-criminal offense, and even the written and spoken language would be changed to inhibit or cause the commission of it. Progressives have worked for decades to take away words so that certain thoughts are not possible, and have modified and corrupted others to change their meanings from a positive to a negative that they can point to and condem.
