"The Millennials", also sometimes referred to as "generation Y". That group of Americans born between, approximately, 1982 and 2000 - placing the vast bulk of them in the 20 to 28 year old range. According to the planners of the Affordable ...Care Act it is these American's signing up for health insurance [in its early years] that is going to PAY for this massive, massive expense.
Its also these same planners who placed into the law the ability for young people to stay on their parent's insurance plan until 26 years of age. This, my friends, is the wisdom of government planning.
How many of you out there, with 20-something's, have experienced your children running up to you & saying, "I'll take over that monthly insurance payment mom/dad. Don't worry, I've got this!"
These people cannot find jobs!! Record numbers of (recent) college graduates are living at home with parents, they're taking entry level positions parking cars, flipping burgers, busing tables, ANYTHING they can find to bring in something that at least looks like a paycheck. And with those paltry paychecks they're trying to meet life's necessities like, oh I dunno, filling up their cars with our 'new normal' $4/gallon gasoline. They aren't about to say, "I think I'll set aside a portion of my minimum wage paycheck to pay for monthly health insurance premiums because my country needs me to." YOU FOOLS excluded them until they're 26...they're going to WAIT until they're 26!
Duh!
