Christians in central Vietnam were attacked by authorities in mid-December as they attempted to take a delivery of Christmas gifts to orphans in Kontum Province. Vietnam remains highly repressive of religious groups, especially ethnic minorities in areas such as the Central Highlands and Northwest Mountainous Region.
