This weekend while silly drunks mumbled at the Golden Globes, the Afghanistan war movie “Lone Survivor” raked in a cool $38.5M. Last Friday CNN’s Jake Tapper said this to “lone survivor” Marcus Luttrell: “I don’t mean to disr...espect in any way, but it seemed senseless — all of these wonderful people who were killed for an op that went wrong.” Luttrell: “We spend our whole lives training to defend this country and then we were sent over there by this country — so you’re telling me because we were over there doing what we were told by our country that it was senseless. And my guys — what? They died for nothing?” Well said sir. “Senseless” is politicians sending young men & women without a defined mission. “Senseless” is a president running for re-election bragging that Al Qaeda is “on the run.” Senseless” is our vets not receiving the best care & support possible. You’re wrong Jake, there’s a great deal of “sense” among those who serve. A sense of duty. A sense of honor. Been in DC lately Tapper? Heroes like Luttrell are the only ones making any sense at all
