Cronyism?

 Conflict of interest abounding?

 You never got to vote on this man, you have no idea who he is, yet he's controlling and influencing a great deal of your life.

 Do you know who Jeffrey Immelt is? Since there's a good chance you do not & since he is in your life in multiple ways - allow me.

 Immelt is a gozillionaire, the CEO of General Electric Corp., a graduate of Harvard (go figure), a big time lobbyist in D.C., a massive proponent of the need to switch America to a "green economy", and oh by the way, was appointed to serve on the president Obama's "Economic Recovery Advisory Board."

 GE lobbied HARD for Obama's (failed) $787B "stimulus package" & no wonder. The company rec'd hundreds of millions in gov't money and contracts as a result. And now in one of the most startling cases of the fox guarding the hen house ever, the head of that company is 'advising' the administration on how to continue to spend billions on technologies that his company's and personal fortunes are directly tied to. And [again] by the way, Immelt was appointed chairman of that board.

 The Advisory Board produced a report with 5 recommendations, including, "Invest aggressively and efficiently in cutting-edge infastructure and energy" which called for a new federal financing institution --funded with $1 to $1 billion per year-- which is chartered with doling out those funds to firms engaged in the development of new, 'clean energy' technologies. I'll bet you can guess the name of one of those firms.
