Conservative Black Woman Brenda Battle-Jordan running for Genesee County commissioner

If you want change than you must vote for change, keeping the same person at The Board of Commissioners will not make your life easier... You need someone on your side that is going to give your children fighting chance in life...   Understanding what the Board of Commissioners does will help you and your family.

The commission acts as the executive of the local government, levies local taxes, administers county governmental services such as prisons, courts, public health oversight, property registration, building code enforcement, and public works such as road maintenance. The system has been supplanted in large part as disparate sparsely settled regions become urbanized and establish tighter local governmental control, but in many more rural states the county commission is the form of government which oversees county management.

So, far today has the Board of Commissioners acted on your behalf. Do you want to change the jails or prisons policy? If, you want more education it started here with Conservative Black Woman name Brenda. She has a Son and grandson who she wants a bright future for. The Black male’s future is low priority for most Commissioners not Brenda... Just listen to her story it may seem like yours...

Is the governing board and policy-making body of County government? While many of its powers, duties and responsibilities are prescribed by law, and diffused through the wide-spread use of commissions, boards, committees, and independently elected county officers, the Board is in charge of developing and approving County policy setting the county budget. Jon Care, Board Coordinator, provides general administrative and liaison support for the Board of Commissioners, coordinates Board Committee Meetings, and maintains committee files.
