July 12th – Rollcall.com headline from last week: “GOP Says Border Crisis is Obama’s Fault; Democrats Blame Violence, Poverty” The violence is indeed horrific, 82 shot, 16 dead just over the past weekend. And a concerned mother laments: “I’...m living a nightmare, my whole neighborhood is so violent, there’s so much crime” adding, “Where can I get asylum? Where can I get refugee status?” Only thing is the 82 shot and 16 dead were in Chicago. And the mother seeking refugee status? Her name is Elaine, a black woman who lives in Baltimore. The last time Chicago had a Republican mayor was in 1931 and currently has not a single Repub on the City Council. And the last GOP city councilman in Baltimore was elected in 1939! Then there’s Detroit, Cleveland, DC, Newark and the list goes on. Gang violence, poverty, poor schools & corruption, not in Central America, but every day in our inner cities. Dems haven’t cared for decades, but why? Silly me … unlike the border crossers Dems know they already have those votes. P
