Gas has been at or around $4.00 per gallon for so long now (basically ALL of this president’s days in office) that we’re growing accustomed to it, its ceasing to be a ‘big deal’. Which, of cou...rse, was the plan all along.
Well, it IS a big deal & I’m going to be hammering it on this facebook this week. I hope y’all ‘Share’ the living daylights out of these threads because this is ridiculous! Families (like mine) are hurting. And there is no reason for these sustained, budget-breaking, average-family-hurting prices. The party that “cares so much for the lower- and middle-class” is destroying them through its resolute refusal to do the slightest thing that will lower gas costs, & as the “summer driving season” gets rolling – we can all get ready for some serious pain at the pump.
The president TOLD US this would happen. Prior to winning office he *told us* he thought gas prices needed to be higher, that under his plans they would go up:

But nobody wanted to hear it. When gas prices were $4/gallon under GWB he gave speeches about how the pain Americans were feeling at the pump was unnecessary:

All you liberals who've been arguing with me for years about how the democrats care about people & the republicans only care about the rich - where are those speeches today? He has blocked the Keystone Pipeline project, was held in contempt for illegally imposing a drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico, has forced higher operational costs on virtually all levels of all fossil fuels production industry. He has not taken one step, not ONE, to help us all out in the pocket book; instead he has done the exact opposite. All while at the same time flushing hundreds and hundreds of billions of our dollars down the toilet on failed, bankrupt ‘green energy’ companies.
We have a president is in locked-step with the radical environmentalist left. So much so that he really doesn’t care that skyrocketing costs are hurting average families. He is a firm believer that we human beings are destroying the earth & that the main culprit of that destruction is carbon emissions. He believes one of the most effective ways to curb those emissions is to make it more & more expensive to produce them. That’s why it costs so much to heat your home now, that’s why it costs to much to fill up your tank now. This is not a mistake; this is not just an odd confluence of global economic forces that have happened to come together in a perfect storm to artificially keep prices high for FIVE YEARS, this isn’t greedy “big oil” raking in all they can.
He believes that at some point people will have no choice but to turn to cleaner forms of energy – like wind and solar – b/c fossil fuels simply cost too much. He believes that at some point people will turn to mass transit solutions for their travel needs b/c gasoline costs too much. All of this he has made clear on multiple occasions. Yet, no one wanted to hear. Well, those who voted for this nonsense, I hope you look at what % of your monthly household budget is now going to pay for gas and I hope you’re happy.
