June 5th – Ten years ago today Ronald Reagan died. No libs he wasn’t perfect but consider this: At the end of Reagan’s first year of his second term (December 1985) a majority of Americans felt the country was heading in the right direction. Explains why Reagan won 49 states in 1984. But less than a third (30% RCP poll average) feel that way today. In fact, according to even the O friendly CBS News/NY Times Poll, since 2009 that figure has never been near 50%, the closest bei...ng 45% for a brief period in O’s first year. Since then every single poll shows it’s been straight downhill. If Reagan were president today tens of millions more would be working, wages would be rising & GDP would be growing. And America worldwide would once again be respected. A few months ago the former world chess champion Garry Kasparov put it best when he tweeted this: "I've said it before, but if Barack Obama had been president instead of Ronald Reagan, I'd still be a Soviet Citizen." Leadership matters and Kasparov knows that these days America has none. P
